Mangalwar vrat


Tuesday Fast or Mangalwar Vrat
Tuesday is dedicated to the Lord Hanuman that is very dear to Lord Rama. Mangal is also denoted the planet named Mars, that is a symbol of strength, courage, child, efforts and honour. As per the Hindu astrology, the fast of Mangalwar is must for those devotees whose Mars is weak or sit in the sin house.  It is believed that by observing the fast on Tuesday all sins will remove, all desires will be fulfill and help their devotees to overcome from difficulties in their life.

Mangalwar Vrat Rule
Those devotees who perform Tuesday fast should take a single meal in a day. In the morning they have to wear red colour clothes, worship Lord Hanuman, offer them red colour flowers, read the Mangalwar Vrat Katha and after sunset does Aarti then offer wheat and jaggery to the Lord Hanuman. According to the Brahmins the fast of the Tuesday is observed for 21 Tuesdays continuously.

Mangalwar Vrat Katha

In the ancient time a Brahmin couple was living in a village. They have no child this is the only reason of their unhappiness. Once Brahmin was going to the forest to please Lord Hanuman and his wife started observing Tuesday fast to get a child. One day she performs a fast due to this she could not offer a meal to Lord Hanuman due to this she decided to take fast regularly for the next Tuesday. But owing to the long fast duration she becomes fainted, to see her strong will power Lord Hanuman felt pity on her and appeared before the lady in a disguise of a child. Lord Hanuman gave him a boon of faithful child who serves them day and night.
After some time that lady gave a birth to a beautiful child she called him Mangal. When the Brahmin returned to his house she asked his wife about the child. Then the Lady narrates the whole story to her husband but Brahmin did not believe her and think she is a chase lady. That lady tries her best to win his believe but the behavior of his husband remains same.
One day Brahmin was going to take his bath in the forest well. The lady asks him to take Mangal along with him. Brahmin takes it as an opportunity to kill Mangal and save his honour. When he reached near the well Brahmin ordered Mangal to fetch water from the well. As the Mangal started to fetch water Brahmin pushed him into the well and returned to the house. 
To see the Brahmin alone lady asked him about Mangal. Now Brahmin felt guilty and puzzled, suddenly Mangal appeared in the front of them and embraced their parent by touching feet. After this incident Lord Hanuman came into his dream and asked Mangal is his own son and his wife is pure. Then Brahmin realized his mistake and they both observed Tuesday fast regularly.
It is a saying that Lord Hanuman save their devotees from all the bad evils and bless them happy life.
Aarti of Hanuman Ji
आरती कीजै हनुमान लला की  दुष्ट दलन रघुनाथ कला की ।।
जाके बल से गिरिवर कांपै  रोग-दोष जाके निकट झांपै ।।
अंजनि पुत्र महा बलदाई  संतन के प्रभु सदा सहाई ।।
दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाए  लंका जारि सिया सुधि लाये ।।
लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई  जात पवनसुत बार लाई ।।
लंका जारि असुर सब मारे  सियाराम जी के काज संवारे ।।
लक्ष्मण मूर्च्छित पड़े सकारे  लाय संजीवन प्राण उबारे ।।
पैठि पताल तोरि जमकारे  अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे ।।
बाईं भुजा असुर संहारे  दाईं भुजा संत जन तारे ।।

Dhanteras


Dhanteras Pooja Katha
Dhanteras is an important festival of Hindus, it is celebrated two days before Diwali. As per Hindu calender this auspicious festival is falls on the thirteenth lunar day of krishna Paksha on Kartik month (October/November). Dhanteras is also known as Dhanwantri Trayodashi or Dhan Trayodashi. On the day of Dhanteras, it is a ritual to worship godess Laxmi in the moring as well as evening, buy Gold , silver and vessels and lamp diyas of clay. It is said that, these diyas of clay are capable to drive away evil spirits and protect the family members from short-dead or Akaal Mrityu.
Legend behind the Yamadeepdan on Dhanteras:
Once Yamraj the king of death asked a question from his envoy- are they feel sorrow or pity during their work. To hear this question from Yamraj all envoy became frightened and reply him that it is our work so we don’t feel pity on the human beings. But Yamraj comprehend the situations of their death envoy and said that don’t be scared and tell him what they feel. Then death envoy accepted that they really feel pity on one incident and narrate whole story. There was a famous king named Hima in the earth. His queen gave birth to a beautiful boy child but when astrologers make his kundali they forecast that this boy will be dead after four days of his marriage. To hear this, king Hema sent him in a lonely place where his male teachers teach him. At that place, girls are prohibited but one day a princess visits from that way and she met with the prince both was falling in love and they did love marriage. But according to the fate of a prince, a snake bite him on the fourth day of his marriage and he was dying. When death evils went there to collect the life of the prince they felt pity to hear the weeping and crying of his new married wife. That couple is more less than from Rati and Kamdev. Then death envoy asked to the Yamraj that there is a solution to protect from short dead or Akaal Mrityu. To hear this question, Yamraj narrate him the solution of Akaal Mrityu. If people will worship on the day of Dhanteras and light the Diya of clay or Deepdaan on the south direction they will be protected from short death.
Legend behind the Dhanteras:
According to the other Legend, when Gods and Devils churn the ocean (Samudramanthan), Lord Dhanvantari the god of Physician emeged out from the sea with a pot of elixir or Amrit on the day of Dhanteras. Therefor, people worship Lord Dhanvatari and purchase vessels, gold and silver on the day of Dhanteras.
Legend Behind Laxmi-poojan on Dhanteras:
It is a legend that once goddess Laxmi requested Lord Visnu to gave him accompany during his earth visit. Lord Vishnu accepted her request but gave her some instructions that she will not look on the south direction and not fall for earthly temptations. Goddess Laxmi accepted all terms and conditions of the Lord Vishnu but when she visit to the earth forget all the instructions and she looked in the south direction. At the southern direction she saw yellow mustard flowers and sugarcane, she enjoy sugarcane juice and decorate herself by mustard flowers and fall in earthly temptations. When Lord Vishnu found that Laxmi violated the rules he said her to stay on the earth as a labour of that person who has belong to the field of sugarcane and mustard flower for 12 years.
After finding the Laxmi as a labour the farmer became very wealthy and Laxmi completed her twelve years as a labour. Later she asked the farmer that she want to return her house but farmer want that she stay because she is a hard labour and she was very lucky for him. So farmer offered her more wages but Laxmi denies to take anything.
Atlast, Goddess Laxmi told the farmer to take a pilgrimage with his family to river Ganga. After his pilgrimage they will decide about her future and gave him four small shells to offer river Ganga. When farmer pryed to Goddess Ganga to accept four shells, four hands came up and accepted all the four shells.
After this incident, farmer realized that all four shells are not ordinary and the lady who gave it she was related to the some divine power. Then he prayed to the Goddess Ganga to reveal the truth then she asked that the lady who was in his home is Godess Laxmi.
To know the truth,farmer feel very happy and requested to Goddess Laxmi to stay on the earth but she refused the proposal and said that she visit on the earth on all Dhanteras day so keep his home clean and lighten the diyas of clay.
From that incident people started to perform Laxmi pooja on the Dhanteras day and light lamps in the night.

Budhwar vrat Katha


Budhwar Vrat
Budh or Mercury is one of the nine planets as per Hindu astrology that denotes wealth and wisdom. It is believed that this planet is capable to remove all kinds of problems, obstacles, skin diseases and all sorts of sins due to other planets. In addition to this, this planet brings manifold benefits to those devotees who perform fast of Wednesday.
Budhwar Vrat Rules:
Devotees should wear green colour on Wednesday and perform worship rituals such as Aarti, Budhwar Vrat Katha, Dhyan and Puspanjali. At the end of the do Shiva Linga pooja by Milk, Sugar, Gangajal, Belpatra, Dhoop and Water. Being with this, devotees can take meal only one time in a day after sunset. Apart from this, devotees should have to perform 21 fast regularly.
Budhwar Vrat Katha:
In the ancient time, it is a rule that people didn’t take journeys on Wednesday. Once a man visits to his father-in Law’s house to receive his wife. He was married in the childhood to his daughter but she was not mature so she lived with his parents. Now it is the time of Gauna (to send the girl with his husband) but incidentally that day is Wednesday so the parents of girl deny to send her. The Boy is very stubborn so he didn’t hear their elders and deny to obey the rituals and take her wife to his home.
On the way, he felt thirsty so he asked her wife to wait for him and he went on the search of the water. Finally, he discovers a river in the deep forest then he drank water and when he reached to take water for his wife, he found that a man was already sit with her wife in his disguise. He reached at that place and asked to that disguise man who is he, that disguise man said he is the husband of the lady. The lady became confused to see same appearance of both men. When quarrels increase some soldiers reached at that place and catch them. When all soldiers saw both men they also puzzled and asked the lady to recognize her husband. But the lady said she was not capable to recognize his husband because set met him the first time after their marriage.
Lastly when the man felt that nobody was able to recognize him then he prays to the god to save him from this problem. Suddenly that disguise man was converted into God Budh then the man realized his mistake and say sorry to him to disobey the rituals. Then God Budh disappear and the couple started to perform Budhar or Wednesday fast, from that day. It is said that, those devotees who read or hear the katha of Budhwar, never suffer the sin of journey on Wednesday.

Brahaspati var Vrat Katha


Stories from Hindu Mythology
In Hindu religion, each day of a week is devoted to the particular god. Thursday is also known as Guruvar and Brahaspativar, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and sage Brahaspati, the Guru of gods. Brahaspati is also represented as a Jupiter planet in our solar system. According to the epic Shiv Maha Puran, Angira Rishi is the father of sage Brahaspati. Brahaspati execute penance (tapasya) at the Prabhaas Kshetra to please Lord Shiva. After amused by the hard meditation of Brahaspati, Lord Shiva granted him a prominent position of Guru of Gods or  an important place in the nav grah (9 plantes) as planet Jupiter, in the boon.
Even in astrology, Brahaspati or planet Jupiter plays an important role. This plant signifies knowledge, Dharam, Children and marriage. One who facing all these problem in their life are prescribed for Brahaspativar Vrat by the astrologers. It is a rule that Brahaspativar Vrat is taken by devotees at 7, 11, 21, 40, 48, 51, or 108 times or for Life Time as their wish and capacity.
Rules of the Brahaspativar vrat- Banana is prohibited for those who are taking Brahaspativar Vrat until they do not perform Udyapan or Vrat Shante. Brahaspativar Vrat starts before the sunrise and ends after the the sunset.
Those devotees who are fasting, wears yellow clothes and offers Water, Jaggery (gudd), Chana Dal, Currant (munakka), Besan sweets and yellow flowers to Banana tree after worshipping Lord Vishnu and Brihaspati. Food is only consumed once in a day, but remember food is salt-less means devotees taken only yellow food without salt after listening or reading the Brahaspati Vaar Vrat Katha. 

Janmashtmi

Krishna Janmashtmi is the day of Lord Krishna Birth. According to the epics of Hindu Mythology Lord krishna was the incarnation of the period between 3200 and 3100 BC. It is believed that Lord krishna is the 8th son of the Vasudev and Devki who born in the month of August-September, also known as Shravan Maas as per Hindu calendar.  
During this period there was a devil king Kansa, the ruler of Mathura. When the cruelty of king Kansa was its ultimateness, Mother Earth denies to bear the burden of its sins and requested to Lord Brahma for help. On the appeal of Mother Earth, Lord Brahma urged to the Lord Vishnu, he promised to take birth on the earth and destroy all the evil forces.
On the other side that devil King Kansa has a beautiful sister named Devaki. On the day of the marriage when Kansa was see off  his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudev after marriage rituals an akashvani or forecast was heard that the 8th son the the Devaki demolish the evil kingdom of the Kansa. To hear this forecast Kansa was frightened and instantly unsheathed his sword to slay Devaki but Vasudeva pledges him to leave Devaki and promised him to deliver every infant to him. Kansa accept Vasudeva offer but imprisoned both Vasudev and Devaki.
It is beginning of the game of infants bloodshed, Kansa ordered his army to kill all the infants of the state. In addition to this, when Devaki first child was born, Kansa slaughtered the infant. Likewise he killed 7th  infant and when its turn to the birth 8th child of Vasudev and Devaki both started lamenting their fate. When Lord Krishna appeared Vasudeva and Devaki both were hypnotized, every soldier were slept and all the massive doors of the prison were unlocked, Vasudev carry infant to his lap and started for Gokul to his friend’s house, the cowherd ruler Nanda. When Vasudev crossed the river Yamuna, she increases the level of the water to touch the feet of Lord Vishnu. Apart from this, when rain started a thousand-mouth snake followed him and provide shelter to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
At the same time Nanda’s wife Yashoda also given a birth to a daughter. Where he exchanged the infants and returned to the prison of Kansa. When Kansa went to kill 8th infant, he felt surprise to see a girl, the moment Kansa tried to kill her she flew in the  sky and turned into the goddess Yogmaya, who said: “O foolish, what will you find to kill me? Your destroyer is already born somewhere else” and disappeared.
Next day, all the people of Gokul celebrated the birth of the Nanda’s child. When Kansa heard the prodigy of the Nanda’s son Krishna, he tried many times to kill him but manqué. In his youth Krishna killed the Kansa and release his parents from prison.
Janmashtmi Fast  
Devotees from all over the world take fast on the day of Janmashtmi. Devotees go to the temple and offer milk made sweets to the lord Krishana, chant sloke or mantra. All devotees who take fast will open their fast on the midnight after the time of Lord Krishna born.

Maha Shivratri


Maha Shiv Ratri
Maha Shiv Ratri means the night of Lord Shiva, occurs on the 14th night of the new moon of month Phalguna (Feb / March). It is believed that this day is very dear to Lord Shiva so devotees takes fast and open it the next morning, after the whole night vigil (jagran). According to the Shiv Maha Puran, Shivaratri is the auspicious day of Lord Shiva and blessed with Moksha and past sins all those people who takes fast and worship on this day.
There are many stories related to the Maha Shiv Ratri.
1.According to the some believers, in the beginning when Lord Shiva made the universe, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma were fighting to prove their self more powerful. To stop their war Lord Shiva appear as a Linga between Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma and asked them to search the end of the Linga. Then both started to find out the end of the Linga but after walking thousands of miles they could not find the end. After many years when Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma met Brahma said lie that he find the end of the Linga. Due to the lie of Brahma Lord Shiva gave him a curse that no one would ever pray to him
2. Lord Shiva was emerged in the form of Ling at midnight on Maha Shivratri. Thus, all devotees of Lord Shiva take fast for the entire day, stay vigil during the night and open their fast on the next morning.
3. According to the other legend, on the day of Shivratri Lord Shiva was married to Devi Parvati. Therefore all devotees celebrate this day by taking fast and worship Lord Shiva by Panchamrit (the mixture of Milk, Pure Water or Gangajal, Honey, Ghee and Yoghurt).
4. Another myth is related with Samudramanthan (churning of ocean). By the process of Samudramanthan the Gods and the demons or Asurs want to get Amrut (nectar) for immortality from the deepness of the ocean. For this both Gods and Asurs using a mountain and a snake as a rope to churn the ocean. In this process many things was came out that are divided into both Gods and Asurs but when a jar of poison came out of the ocean both are rejected to accept the poison pot. This poison was so strong and was capable to demolish the whole universe. The dilemma was risen because the Halahal or poison could not be discarded so gods requested to the Lord Shiva to accept that poision to save the whole universe. On the request of both Asur and Gods, Lord Shiva drank that deadly poison and kept into his neck because of the effect of poision his throat was changed into blue colour. This is the reason that Lord Shiva is also known as Neelkantham. So Shivratri is also a day or method of giving thanks to Lord Shiva for protecting this universe from annihilation.
Worship Rituals: To please Lord Shiva devotees do abhisheka of Shiva Linga with six different dravyas, each dravya blesses a unique quality.
·         Milk blesses purity and piousness.
·         Yogurt purges Gangajal prosperity and progeny.
·         Honey sanctifies sweet speech.
·         Ghee consecrate victory.
              Sugar hallow happiness.
·                                  Water blesses purity.
Apart from this, Belpatri, dhatura and flowers are also pleasing Lord Shiva. 

Pradosh Vrat Katha


Pradosh Vrat Katha
Pradosh vrat is observed by the devotees to please Lord Shiva. It is believed that Trayodashi the period of Pradosh is one of the those days that is very dear to Lord Shiva. Therefore, the devotees take fast to delight Lord Shiva who bless all his devotees by fulfilling their wishes. The legend of Pradosh Vrat is related to the Churning of ocean or Samudramanthan.
According to the Hindu epic Shivmahapuran, Gods and devils started the process of Samudramanthan to get Amrit. During the process of Churning of ocean many things came out from the sea including the poison or Halahal. It is necessary to accept all the items that come out from the Samudramanthan but when poison came out from the sea gods and devils both denies to take it because that poison is very strong and dangerous. That poison has capacity to destroy the universe so all gods and devils pray to Lord Shiva for a solution. To save the world, Lord Shiva drinks that poison due to this his throat turns into blue colour. After this incident, both gods and devils continued the Samudramanthan and on the twelfth day of the lunar fortnight finally they got Amrit or elixir.
On the thirteenth day of Gods and Devils thanked Lord Shiva. To see their devotion Lord Shiva become pleased and danced that time was the Pradosham period. From that time, devotees started to take fast to fulfill their dreams into reality and attaining Moksha after death.
Pradosh Vrat Rules
On the day of fast devotees should perform the combined worship of Lord Shiva and his wife deity Parvati. After this, read the Pradosh Vrat Katha and do Aarti of Lord Shiva. Devotees can open their fast  after sunset later execute Lord Shiva Aarti.
Pradosh Vrat Katha
In the ancient time, there is a poor Brahmin widow lived with her son Shuchibadh. She does work with her son for their livelihood. One day she met with the prince of Vidharbh named Rajsut, which is thrown out through his kingdom by another king after killing his parents. That Brahmin lady adapts the prince and he lived with her as a son. Once she met with the sage Shandilya who narrate her the glory of the Pradosh vrat. To listen the miracles of Pradosh Vrat, she decided to perform that Vrat. Her both boys also perform the Pradosh vrat to please Lord Shiva. When they completed four months to perform Pradosh Vrat of Lord Shiva, her son Shuchibadh get the pot of gold in the bank of the river. Her mother asked them to divide that gold and live lavishly but Rajsut denied.
When they completed one year to perform Pradosh Vrat, one day Rajsut and Suchibadh went for roaming the forest. Both saw the group of Gandharva girls, Suchibadh tell Rajsut that he was going back to the home. Rajsut stay at the forest when the princess of Gandahrva girl named Ansumati saw him, she fell in love with him. After some time both started talking then Rajsut narrate her all the story of his life. She promised him for marriage and asked him to wait for her. On the decided day he again went to the forest where the Ansumati and the king of Gandharva was waiting for him. The king of Gandharva welcome him and said that he meet with Lord Shiva two days before, he ordered him to marry his daughter Anshmati with Rajsut and help him to get his kingdom return from his enemies. Later he married his daughter with Rajsut and help him to get his kingdom back. When he get his kingdom back he gave the position of Rajmata to the Brahmin lady.
It is said that, those devotees who listen the Pradosh vrat Katha regularly or in Shravan month, Lord Shiva bless him with all worldly pleasure and get Moksha after the death.  

Solah SomVar Vrat Katha


Solah Somvar Vrat Katha
Solah Somvar Vrat Katha is dedicated to Lord Shiva, observed for 16 Monday continuously. It is believed that Solah Somvar Vrat is very fruitfull and bless all kind of wishes to the devotees. Being with this, women observed this fast to get ideal life partner while married women observe fast for a good married life.
Devotees will start Solah Somvar Vrat  from the Shukla Paksha of any month. Apart from this, many devotees usually start their fast from Shravan or Kartik month.
The legand of this fast is related to the curse of the Moon. According to the Hindu epics, Moon is the son-in-law of the king Daksha. Daksha married his all daughter to the Moon but Moon only loves Rohini due to this all daughters of Daksha went to his father and complaint against the Moon. To heard the sorrow of his all daughters he cursed the Moon that his body will fade day by day. When the Moon was started fade he tell his problem to the Lord Shiva then he suggest him to take Solah Somvar Vrat. After that Moon started take the fast of Solah Somvar and finally he was free from the curse of Daksha.
Rules of Solah Somvar Vrat
Solah Somvar Vrat is starts from the sunrise and ends at the sunset. So devotees should have to complete their daily routine at sunset then worshipped ShivaLinga with milk, curd, gangajal, honey, sugar and water. Next step is read Solah Somvar Vrat Katha or listen the story of Solah Somvar Vrat. In this fast devotees have to take meal only one time after the sunrise worship. Some devotees take this fast without opt water but some devotees consume water, coconut milk, fruits during fast. 
Solah Somvar Vrat Katha
Once Lord Shiva with Goddess Parvati visited the famous city Amravati. On their way, they find a beautiful Lord Shiva temple, made by the king of the city Amravati. To see the beauty of the temple they decide to stay some time there. One day, Goddess Parvati notice that Lord Shiva was in playful mood so she offer to play dice game. They started playing dice game suddenly the priest of the temple come there. In the excitement of the game Godeess Parvati asked to the priest “who will win the game of the dice”, the priest was not prepare for any question because of by mistaken he said that Lord shiva will win the game but Parvati won the game. After won the game, she felt angry on the priest. Lord Shiva tried to  calm her but she gave him a curse of being leper. Due to the curse of Godess Parvati he became leper and lived a miserable life. After some years of that incident several fairies came to the temple and asked the reason to the priest of his misery then he narrate all the episode. To hear his story one fairy asked him to perform Solah Somvar Vrat continuously and tell her the rule of the fast. She asked him , on the seventeenth Monday, prepare the Prashad or holy food with ghee, gur with mixed flour and distribute this prasand among devotees, family members and take some yourself. Through the blessing of this fast you will be free from the leprosy. Later all the fairies was disappeared and proest perform all the rituals of the Solah Somvar vrat. Soon he recovered his normal health by the positive energy of the fast.
Once Lord Shiva and Parvati again visit to that temple when Pravati saw that priest healthy she was surprised and asked him the secret of his health then the priest narrate her all the story. To hear the glory of the Solah Somvar Vrat she felt very happy and also perform the fast. After completing 16th vrat her son Kartikeya, who was displeased with her, was presented in front of her. He asked to the Parvati that which power attracts him and please him then Parvati narrate her all the story.
To listen the power and glory of the Solah Somvar vrat he also perform that fast to reunion with his Brahmin friend, he also gets the result and soon he meets with his Brahmin friend. Kartikaye, a friend asked him the reason of that miracle then kartikaye tell him that he wants to meet him so he perform Solah Somvar vrat. As a result, they meet unexpectedly, Brahmin friend also impressed by that vrat and he decided to take fast. Brahmin also follows all the rules and regulation of the fast and on the day when he completed his fast he was passed by the city. The king of the city performs the swayamver of his daughter but he asked that the elephant decides the groom for his daughter and gave a garland to the elephant. That Bramin was curious about that Sayamvar so he decided to see that when he reached on the Swayamver that elephant garlanded him so the king of the city married her daughter to him. After some time the king was expired and that Brahmin became the king of that city. On the first night, Princess asked him why elephant garlanded him and leave all the Prince who are invited in the Swayamvar. To hear the request of his wife he reveals that the miracle of Solah Somvar vrat.
The wife of Brahmin also impressed to hear the glory of Solah Somvar vrat and started performing fast. By the blessing of the Lord Shiva she gave birth to  a beautiful and intellectual son. When that boy became young she asked his mother to narrate the story of his birth. The mother reveals that she took the fast of Solah Somvar to get him then the boy also perform these fast to get the other kingdom for their parents. Incidentally, an old king of near state also searching a groom for her daughter and send his messenger for a perfect groom for her daughter. To see that boy he asked the king about him and king married her daughter to him. After some time the king was died and that boy was became the king but that boy regularly performs Solah Somvar vrat. On the day of the 17th Monday that boy arranged a large pooja on the temple and ordered his wife to accompany him on the pooja rituals but she denied. The king performed all the rituals single suddenly he heard a sound or an akashwani to leave his wife. To heard that sound he took a conference of the minister and tell them his problem because he made king due to the queen but their ministers suggested him to leave the queen. So king ordered the queen to leave the palace, she left out bare foot and in worn-out clothes. She was thrisy and hungry but due his misfortune she was not able to eat and drink something. If she touched water or food all thing become rotten she started to cursed his fate.
A potter man felt pity on her and asked her to help him and he will provide food in the exchange of food but when she carry the pots a fast wind blew came and all pots was fall down. The queen felt sorry and potter asked him to go away. Then she reached in a oilman’s house but her misfortune follow her the all the pots that are full of oil break and oilman’s asked him to go away. Now she went in a dark forest, she saw a river but when she reach to the bank river to quench her thrist all the river was dried up. Then she saw a water tank but when she touch the water all water turned muddy then she drink that muddy water. For rest she searched shaddy tree but all sheddy tress became leafless when she sit down to take rest.
The cowherds saw all the incident and told all the incident to the temple priest. Then the priest called him and surprised to see their royal ettiqutes. After that she started lived with that priest but soon she fed up with her life because all things turn impure by her touch. Then the priest asked the reason of her misfortune she narrate all the story. To heard all the story the priest suggested her to take Solah somvar Vrat to please Lord Shiva. When she completed the rituals of the Solah Somvar vrat, her husband remember her and send his messangers to search her. When they find the queen they requested to the priest to send her with them but the priest refused their request. At last king came and asked the priest that he was his husband, he leaves her on the order of Lord Shiva but know Lord Shiva anger was turned into peace so he came here to receive her. The priest believed in the word of the king and return the queen. The queen gets a large welcome party. The king distributes money, food, clothes to the needy people and perform Pooja rituals.
After all these incidents both performs Solah Somvar Vrat Katha and live happily in their kingdom. When they died both enters Shivpuri, the home of the Lord Shiva. It is said that those devotees who takes the fast of Lord Shiva will enter Shivpuri after the death.
